Successful completion of the program An Orientation to the Standards for the Safe and Effective Provision of Opioid Agonist Maintenance Treatment is a requirement for all pharmacists who wish to apply for authorization to participate in the provision of opioid agonist maintenance treatment (OAMT) in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The program describes the minimum expectations for pharmacists involved in OAMT as detailed in the NLPB Standards for the Safe and Effective Provision of Opioid Agonist Maintenance Treatment.  The Standards are intended to promote consistency in the provision of this service to the people of this province.

The post-test for this program is based on both the content of the modules as well as the learning activities. A passing grade is 70% or above.
